Me and Gaius eating breakfast. Gaius is sitting on my lap.
Me: "He's Raji, the puller of thorns..." (for those of you not in the know, a song from Wonder Pets)
Gaius: "What's that mom?"
Me: "I'm singing - I have that song stuck in my head"
Gaius: Twisting around and climbing on me to get a look at my head "Where? I want to see it stuck in your head!"

Leaf Peeping 2009
Even though everyone was a little sick, we took our annual trip to the log cabin on the Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountain Region of NH. The mountains dwarf the size of our Pioneer Valley where we live! Like always, I was so busy having a great time that I took only a handful of pics....
The big highlight of this years trip was a ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad. Gaius was literally jumping out of his skin with excitement.
I love this pic of Gaius - he seems to be overwhelmed by the number of pumpkins. He kept picking them up and handing them to us. We only got one, so Gaius had to make sure it was a good one!

G-isms
Gaius: "Crawl like a baby. Like me, Daddy!"
Brad: "Daddy wants to walk, like a man."
Gaius: "You're not a man. You're a daddy!"
Brad: "Daddy wants to walk, like a man."
Gaius: "You're not a man. You're a daddy!"

Favorite Thing Today
Brad (pretending to be a dragon): "I'm going to eat up blue dog!"
Gaius:"No, Daddy, NO! Open your mouth - like this (opens mouth real wide)"
(Brad opens mouth)
Gaius: "Now eat food! Eat a hot dog!"
Gaius:"No, Daddy, NO! Open your mouth - like this (opens mouth real wide)"
(Brad opens mouth)
Gaius: "Now eat food! Eat a hot dog!"

The Day After - Noho, Nigh' Nigh'
We met Jim, Greta and Seamus in Northampton for the afternoon. After a lovely meal from Veracruzana, eaten at Paradise Pond on the Smith College campus, we of course had to make a stop at Herrell's for some yummy ice cream treats:
A kiss before bedtime from Aunt Julieanna
Later that evening, we all hung out on the bed before going to bed. Gaius showed off his musical skills...
...before the night crazies kicked in. What was that old song about no more monkeys jumping on the bed???
A kiss before bedtime from Aunt Julieanna
It was so good to spend the weekend with everyone. Gaius woke up this morning very sad and missing all his cousins :(
Next time, we get to meet Hazel o) The newest addition to the Turner family :)))
